Researching to Protect Our Community

Our agency is constantly researching emerging trends and data when it comes to alcohol, tobacco and other drugs in our community. Reseaching helps our agency better understand why youth are consuming drugs the drugs they are, how available these drugs are, along as the price of the drugs.

One of the biggest research methods we use and evaluate is the information from students in the surrounding school districts. Students are the ones who submerged in the daily life of teenagers; they have the most knowledge about the drugs in school and who to contact to get the specific drugs.

With the information our agency gains, we assess the youth's perception, attitudes, and knowledge through pre and post-test evaluations at the completion of direct-service programs that we provide.

Continous research, prevention, and raising awareness to the students and public is an important way to stop the use and abuse of drugs in our community.
