Keeping Our Youth Safe

Substance abuse prevention is extremely important in the Midland community. With an increasing amount of youth misusing prescription medication, smoking synethic marijuana, and drinking alcohol, it's becoming a problem that our agency wants to help stop. Children who learn the risks and consequences of drugs from their parents are 50% less likely to use then children who do not.  

Prevent the risk of your child using and abusing drugs by:

• Talking and listening to them, everyday
• Locking up your medications
• Locking up your alcohol
• Be involved in their daily life
• Ask questions. Where are they going? Who are they going with? When will they be home?
• Setting limits and rules
